Striped Les
An Epiphone Les Paul Standard. It is my first electric, and I felt that it needed some aesthetic changes. I lightly sanded the finish to give it a worn
satin type look, but not as refined. Then I added pinstriping to the headstock and the body using red and silver acrylics.
I modified the electronics with four push-pull pots to add coil tapping and phase options. This took quite some time. I had to do quite a bit of modification to
the actual humbuckers in order to accomplish the wiring. My bridge pickup is now completely hand wound. I think it adds a warmth that was missing from the
machine wound originals.
This one is pretty much done. It's pretty close to set up correctly, but I'll need to do a final set up on it soon to make sure that everything is as it should be.
