Website

Random Facts:

I created my first website and taught myself basic HTML back in 1997 with a GeoCities page. That one is long gone, and I have either created or maintained a few others that have come and gone as well. I've always enjoyed creating something from nothing. I enjoy finding websites with innovative features and trying to figure out how they were made. Recently, when I started being more involved with web design again, I had to become reaquainted with HTML and had to start teaching myself about CSS, Flash and other tools. A complete rework of the Michael's Photography website has been completed and the new design is up and running. I incorporated Flash elements to bring dynamic, interactive content to the site. I learn quickly, and I'm having fun with it at the same time. There are more elements that I will be working on when I have the time, but overall I believe that it's a good functional design.

Michael's Photography:

This was my first major website build from scratch. I had to do a lot of trial and error to make things work. I'm pleased with the results and plan on updating and changing it to continually make it more accessible and fluid. The major challenge with that is finding the time to do it between all the other tasks I have on my plate at work.

Michael's Photography (Old Style):

This was my first experience with CSS. The existing design and layout was done by a previous employee. After his departure, I changed the CSS file with updated colors, some different spacing and modifications to accomodate new features.

FBC Connections Blog:

I completely modified a stock template and it's CSS to give the blog a different look.
