When it comes to photography, I'm old-school. I prefer to use film for aesthetic purposes. I'm not opposed to digital, but I still don't have a digital camera. When I can justify the expense, I'll definitely take the plunge. There are so many benefits to using a digital camera for snapshots and commercial applications.

Since I'm doing photography for me right now, I'm happy with film.

I've used color in the past, and I like using color. However, I don't have a local processing lab that I trust. There is one fairly close, but it's far enough away to be inconvenient for regular use.

I love black and white. I can process my film at home. I'm in the process of setting up a darkroom and when that happens I'll be able to print as well. I have had good results with scanning my negatives using a flatbed scanner and doing adjustments in Photoshop, so that is definitely a viable option. When I do get my darkroom running, I plan to sit down with my prints and try to emulate the results more accurately using Photoshop.

I mainly use one of two Yashica Twin Lens Reflex cameras. I am very much drawn to the square image they take. I also use a couple of Yashica 35mm cameras and an old Kodak 5x7 sheet film camera.

I have plans to add a 360 degree pinhole camera to my arsenal in the near future.
